Swingers Meets Westerns on July 23rd!

COUNTRY IN THE CITY. A weekly dance where Country is the Focus...even though it's in the city! Arrive at 7:00 PM for a beginning and beyond Country Two-Step lesson. At 7:30 NIGHT CLUB 2 STEP with ROBB BRYAN and BRIANNE GREEN. No partner or experience is needed. Then dance Country Two-Step, Waltz, West and East Coast Swing, Cha Cha, Line Dancing and more from 8:30 to 11:30 PM with DJ ROBB BRYAN. Admission is $5 lesson, $7 dance, or $10 for both. You can buy a 6-week pre-paid dance/ lesson card for $48. Open to everyone ages 21 and over. Dance every Wednesday on the wooden dance floor in the lounge at China Harbor Restaurant, 2040 Westlake Ave N, Seattle (west side of Lake Union.) Seattle.

TangoMagic reminder!

Seattle's TangoMagic festival begins this Thursday, July 24th. at China Harbor!

A five-day celebration (July 24-28) of Argentine Tango held on the UW campus, with late night dancing at Washington Dance Club and beginning and ending events at China Harbor Restaurant. This year's event features 8 Milongas, 28 classes, 14 distinguished instructors, live and DJ music and a Salmon Bake. Tonight starts off with a seminar with TETE and SILVIA followed by a Welcome Milonga from 9 PM to 1 AM with DJ EVAN GRIFFITH at China Harbor Restaurant, 2040 Westlake Ave N, Seattle. FUNKY FRIDAYS.This dance featuring West Coast Swing lessons and music with TERRY WEST and JACKIE HURSEY has moved to Jay's Dance Experience, which has a warm atmosphere and large dance floor. Beginner's lesson at 7 PM covers basic patterns and techniques. Intermediate lesson at 8 PM adds fun variations. Then stay for dance that follows from 9 PM to Midnight. Drop-in admission is $15 for one lesson and the dance, $20 for both lessons and the dance, $10 for the dance only. There is a price discount if you join the CutARug Swing Dance Club. SONG SCOUT SATURDAYS.Dance most Saturdays from 9 PM to Midnight to West Coast Swing and Nightclub Two-Step music played DJ PAUL BOOTH. The music tends to be contemporary pop music and alternative rock hits with other styles mixed in. Arrive at 8 PM for an intermediate WCS lesson for $5; drop-ins are welcome.
